The Kalpa calendar presents the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky, a Russian painter and art theorist. He was one of the leaders of avant-garde art as one of the founders of pure abstraction in painting in the 20th century. He is famous because of his style and theories about nonfigurative art. In his treatise from 1910, he expressed his opinion that abstract colours and forms can be used to express the inner life of the artist. In this calendar you will find the following paintings:

1. Winter Landscape, 1909
2. Intersecting Lines, 1923
3. Composition No. 7, 1913
4. In Blue, 1925
5. Watercolor for Poul Bjerre, 1916
6. Into the circle, 1911
7. Yellow, Red, Blue, 1925
8. Untitled – First Abstraction, 1910
9. In the Bright Oval, 1925
10. Kleine Welten IV, 1922
11. Composition No. 218, 1919
12. Tensions Claires, 1937
